4Dsensing Warranty, Returns and Refund Policy
Effective Date: September 26, 2026
Last Updated: September 26, 2026
Version: 1.0.0
1.ABOUT THIS POLICY
4Dsensing INC. (“4Dsensing,” the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), which may also operate under the registered trade name 4Dindustrial, provides this Warranty, Returns and Refund Policy for Goods and Services purchased directly from the Company.
4Dindustrial is a trade name of 4Dsensing INC. and is not a separate legal entity.
This Policy forms part of the 4Dsensing Terms and Conditions and explains our voluntary return policy, warranty procedures, available warranty remedies, return shipping responsibilities, on-site warranty service, refunds, and related requirements.
Nothing in this Policy limits any statutory warranty, legal warranty, cancellation right, refund right, or other consumer protection that cannot legally be excluded, waived, or restricted.
2.DEFINITIONS
For purposes of this Policy:
“Buyer,” “Customer,” “Client,” “You,” or “Your” means the individual, company, organization, or other legal entity purchasing Goods or Services from the Company.
“Company” means 4Dsensing INC., including business conducted under the registered trade name 4Dindustrial.
“Goods” means products, equipment, components, replacement parts, accessories, materials, or other tangible items sold or supplied by the Company.
“Order” means an accepted request to purchase Goods or Services.
“Services” means installation, repair, maintenance, technical support, training, consulting, field service, engineering, troubleshooting, or other services supplied by the Company.
3.STATUTORY AND LEGAL WARRANTY RIGHTS
Goods and Services supplied by the Company receive at least the warranties, conditions, protections, and remedies required by applicable law and that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Where applicable law establishes a minimum warranty period, that minimum applies.
Where applicable law does not establish a fixed period but requires Goods to remain reasonably durable for a reasonable period under normal use, the applicable legal standard applies.
Any voluntary or written warranty offered by 4Dsensing is additional to mandatory statutory rights unless applicable law provides otherwise.
Where Quebec consumer protection legislation applies, applicable legal warranties, including rights relating to ordinary use, reasonable durability, conformity, and hidden defects, remain in effect according to law.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to reduce those rights.
4.PROPER USE AND WARRANTY ELIGIBILITY
Subject to applicable law, warranty coverage assumes that the Goods or Services have been used, installed, operated, and maintained correctly and in accordance with their intended purpose, applicable instructions, ratings, specifications, laws, regulations, and safety requirements.
Warranty coverage may not apply to the extent a failure or damage was caused by misuse, abuse, improper installation, incorrect wiring, unauthorized modification or repair, neglect, accident, operation outside published limits, improper maintenance, incompatible third-party equipment, incorrect voltage, electrical surge, physical damage, contamination, unsuitable environmental conditions, normal wear and tear, or another cause unrelated to a covered defect.
These exclusions do not override any warranty or remedy that applicable law does not permit the Company to exclude.
5.VOLUNTARY 7-DAY RETURN POLICY
Unless a different return period is expressly stated in writing, eligible Goods purchased directly from 4Dsensing may be returned for a voluntary change-of-mind return within 7 calendar days after the Customer receives the Goods.
This voluntary 7-day return policy is separate from any statutory cancellation, return, refund, or warranty right provided by applicable law.
A Customer wishing to make a return should contact 4Dsensing before shipping the Goods.
6.CONDITIONS FOR VOLUNTARY RETURNS
To qualify for a voluntary return, Goods must generally have been purchased directly from 4Dsensing, returned within the applicable return period, unused, uninstalled, undamaged, unmodified, complete with supplied accessories and documentation, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
Original packaging should be included where reasonably available.
4Dsensing may inspect returned Goods before approving a voluntary refund.
Failure to qualify for a voluntary change-of-mind return does not eliminate any statutory or legal warranty rights relating to defective or non-conforming Goods.
7.NON-RETURNABLE OR RESTRICTED GOODS
Subject to mandatory legal rights, voluntary change-of-mind returns may be refused for custom-made Goods, Goods made or modified to Customer specifications, personalized Goods, special-order Goods that cannot reasonably be returned to inventory, Goods materially configured or programmed for the Customer, opened consumables, Goods inseparably incorporated into other equipment, Goods damaged after delivery, or Goods expressly identified before purchase as final sale or non-returnable.
Final-sale or non-returnable status applies only to voluntary returns and does not eliminate statutory or legal warranty rights.
8.ORDER CANCELLATION
A Customer may request cancellation of an Order before shipment or before substantial work has begun.
4Dsensing will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request.
Cancellation may not be available, or charges may apply where permitted by law, if Goods have already shipped, custom or special-order Goods have entered production or been ordered, Services have begun, travel has been booked, non-recoverable expenses have been incurred, or technician time or other resources have been specifically reserved.
Any statutory cancellation right that applies to a particular transaction remains unaffected.
9.RETURN AUTHORIZATION
Before returning Goods, contact 4Dsensing for return instructions or a Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”) where required.
We may request information reasonably necessary to process the return or warranty claim, including proof of purchase, Order or invoice number, product model, serial number, description of the issue, photographs, diagnostic information, or other relevant information.
Goods should not be shipped until the applicable return instructions have been confirmed.
10.RETURN ADDRESS
Unless otherwise instructed in writing, authorized returns should be sent to:
4Dsensing INC.
55 Northfield Dr. East, Suite #219
Waterloo, Ontario N2K 3T6
Canada
Email: info@4dsensing.ca
11.VOLUNTARY RETURN SHIPPING
For voluntary change-of-mind returns, the Buyer is responsible for the cost and risk of returning the Goods to 4Dsensing.
The Buyer is responsible for appropriate packaging, transportation charges, applicable customs or brokerage charges, and shipping insurance if desired.
We recommend using a trackable and appropriately insured shipping method.
Original shipping, freight, delivery, customs, brokerage, or expedited-shipping charges are generally non-refundable for voluntary returns unless otherwise agreed or required by applicable law.
12.INSPECTION OF RETURNED GOODS
Returned Goods may be inspected before a refund or exchange is approved.
4Dsensing may reasonably assess the condition, completeness, serial number, evidence of use or installation, missing components or accessories, damage, unauthorized modification, and other relevant return conditions.
Where permitted by law, a voluntary refund may be reduced or refused if returned Goods do not meet the applicable voluntary-return conditions.
This section does not limit rights that apply to defective or non-conforming Goods under mandatory law.
13.REFUNDS
Where an eligible voluntary return is approved, 4Dsensing will issue the applicable refund within a reasonable period after receiving and inspecting the returned Goods and within any period required by applicable law.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method where reasonably possible or another mutually agreed payment method.
Processing time after a refund is issued may depend on the Customer’s bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
14.WARRANTY CLAIMS
A Customer requesting warranty service should contact 4Dsensing promptly after discovering the issue.
We may reasonably request proof of purchase, product identification, serial number, photographs, diagnostic information, installation information, service history, remote troubleshooting, or return of the affected Goods.
The Company may inspect, test, or diagnose the Goods before determining whether the claim is covered.
The Customer must provide accurate information reasonably necessary to assess the claim.
15.WARRANTY REMEDIES
Where a warranty claim is valid, and subject to any mandatory remedy available under applicable law, 4Dsensing may provide an appropriate remedy by repairing the affected Good or component, arranging for repair, replacing the affected Good or component, providing an equivalent or compatible replacement, supplying a new, used, refurbished, or reconditioned replacement part, or refunding the applicable purchase price where repair or an appropriate replacement is not reasonably available.
The Company may select the appropriate remedy where applicable law permits it to do so.
Nothing in this Policy prevents a Customer from exercising another remedy where applicable law gives the Customer a non-waivable right to that remedy.
16.NEW, USED, REFURBISHED, OR COMPATIBLE WARRANTY PARTS
A Good repaired or replaced under warranty may use a replacement product or component that is new, used, refurbished, reconditioned, equivalent, or functionally compatible, provided that it is reasonably suitable for the intended repair and permitted by applicable law.
An exact original component is not guaranteed where the original component is obsolete, discontinued, unavailable, or no longer reasonably obtainable.
Replacement components may differ in manufacturer, model number, revision, appearance, packaging, production date, or minor specifications while remaining reasonably compatible with the intended application.
17.UNAVAILABLE OR OBSOLETE PARTS
The Company does not guarantee indefinite availability of every original component or spare part.
If an original part is unavailable, 4Dsensing may, where legally permitted, repair the existing part, install a compatible replacement, provide a new, used, refurbished, or reconditioned replacement, replace the affected assembly or product, or provide another reasonable remedy.
If repair or an appropriate replacement is not reasonably available, 4Dsensing may refund the amount actually paid for the affected covered Good or component, subject to any different mandatory remedy available under applicable law.
18.WARRANTY RETURN SHIPPING
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for shipment of the affected product to the location specified by 4Dsensing for warranty inspection, diagnosis, testing, repair, or replacement.
The Buyer is responsible for appropriate packaging and transportation arrangements.
Return or outbound shipping following warranty service may also be charged to the Buyer unless otherwise agreed.
However, the Buyer will not be required to pay a warranty-related transportation or shipping expense where applicable mandatory law requires 4Dsensing to bear that expense.
Where Quebec or another applicable consumer law provides a mandatory right to reasonable transportation, shipping, or other warranty-related costs, that legal requirement will prevail.
19.DAMAGE OR LOSS DURING RETURN SHIPPING
Where the Customer arranges shipment to 4Dsensing, the Customer is responsible for packaging the Goods appropriately and for transportation risk until delivery, subject to applicable law.
Trackable shipping and appropriate insurance are recommended.
4Dsensing is not responsible for damage resulting from inadequate Customer packaging or transportation arranged by the Customer, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
20.ON-SITE WARRANTY SERVICE
Where 4Dsensing agrees that a technician is required at the Customer’s location to perform a covered warranty repair or replacement, the labour hours directly required to diagnose, repair, or replace the covered defective unit or component will be covered by the applicable warranty.
Warranty labour coverage does not automatically include travel-related costs.
21.TRAVEL EXPENSES FOR WARRANTY SERVICE
Unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by mandatory law, reasonable travel-related expenses incurred to provide on-site warranty service are the responsibility of the Buyer or Client.
Travel-related expenses may include mileage, transportation, airfare, rail travel, rental vehicles, taxi or rideshare, fuel, tolls, parking, lodging, meals, visas, permits, baggage, freight, shipping, and other reasonable out-of-pocket travel expenses.
Travel expenses will be charged at actual cost or another amount expressly agreed between the parties.
Where reasonably practicable, 4Dsensing may provide an estimate of anticipated travel expenses before travel occurs.
If applicable law requires 4Dsensing to bear a particular warranty-related expense, the mandatory legal requirement will prevail.
22.TRAVEL TIME
Travel time, if billable, will be governed by the applicable quotation, service agreement, warranty agreement, or other written agreement.
Covered warranty repair or replacement labour and travel-related costs are separate items unless otherwise agreed.
23.SERVICE WARRANTY
Services provided by 4Dsensing will be performed with the level of care, skill, and quality required by applicable law and any applicable written agreement.
If covered Service work does not meet an applicable legal or expressly agreed standard, 4Dsensing may, where legally permitted, correct or repeat the affected Service, repair the affected work, provide another reasonable remedy, or issue an appropriate refund or credit where correction or re-performance is not reasonably available.
Any mandatory legal warranty applicable to Services remains unaffected.
24.NON-WARRANTY CONDITIONS AND DIAGNOSTIC WORK
If inspection or diagnosis determines that the issue is not covered by warranty, 4Dsensing may provide an estimate for repair or other corrective work.
Where permitted by law and disclosed in advance, reasonable diagnostic, shipping, or related charges may apply to non-warranty issues.
Non-warranty repair work will not normally proceed without Customer authorization unless another written agreement provides otherwise.
25.SHIPPING DAMAGE OR INCORRECT GOODS
Customers should inspect shipments promptly after delivery.
If Goods arrive damaged, materially incomplete, or different from the Goods ordered, contact 4Dsensing as soon as reasonably possible.
We may request photographs of the packaging, shipping label, product, or damage to assist in resolving the matter or making a carrier claim.
Failure to report an issue immediately does not eliminate any right that applicable law does not permit to be waived.
26.USED, REFURBISHED, OPEN-BOX, OR CLEARANCE GOODS
Goods sold as used, refurbished, reconditioned, demonstration, open-box, surplus, or clearance may show prior use, cosmetic wear, or other disclosed characteristics.
Any voluntary or conventional warranty may differ where legally permitted and clearly disclosed.
Mandatory statutory and legal warranty rights continue to apply according to applicable law and the condition of the Goods when sold.
27.THIRD-PARTY PRODUCTS
Goods manufactured by a third party may also be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty.
Where appropriate, 4Dsensing may assist with a manufacturer warranty process.
Nothing in this section requires a Customer to deal exclusively with the manufacturer where applicable law imposes warranty obligations directly on 4Dsensing.
28.NORMAL WEAR, CONSUMABLES, AND MAINTENANCE
Normal wear, consumable items, routine maintenance, and replacement items expected to wear through normal operation are not generally considered manufacturing defects unless expressly covered or applicable law provides otherwise.
Premature failure resulting from a covered defect remains subject to applicable warranty rights.
29.QUEBEC CONSUMERS
Where Quebec consumer protection legislation applies, mandatory Quebec legal warranties and remedies prevail over any inconsistent provision of this Policy.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to waive a Quebec legal warranty, eliminate a mandatory remedy, shorten a legally required reasonable durability period, or impose a cost or restriction that Quebec law does not permit.
Where Quebec law requires a merchant or manufacturer to bear reasonable costs associated with a covered warranty remedy, including applicable transportation or shipping expenses, those requirements will apply.
30.ONTARIO CONSUMERS
Ontario law does not generally require a business to accept a return or exchange merely because a Customer changes their mind. The voluntary return provisions in this Policy therefore define 4Dsensing’s normal change-of-mind return practice.
Nothing in this Policy limits statutory cancellation, refund, warranty, misrepresentation, or other consumer rights that may apply to a particular Ontario transaction.
31.OTHER JURISDICTIONS
Customers in other provinces, territories, states, or countries may have additional mandatory warranty, return, refund, or cancellation rights.
Where such rights legally apply, they prevail over an inconsistent provision of this Policy to the extent required by law.
32.CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
4Dsensing may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in business practices, products, Services, legal requirements, or operational procedures.
Changes do not retroactively reduce mandatory rights or contractual warranty rights attached to an existing completed transaction where applicable law or an existing agreement prevents such a change.
The Last Updated date identifies the current published version.
