4Dsense Account and Data Deletion

1.PURPOSE
This page explains how users of the 4Dsense mobile application can request deletion of their account and associated personal information.
4Dsense is operated by 4Dsensing INC., which may also operate under the registered trade name 4Dindustrial.
2.HOW TO REQUEST ACCOUNT DELETION
You may request deletion of your 4Dsense account using either of the following methods:
In the 4Dsense application: open the account or application settings and select the available Delete Account option.
Outside the application: send an account-deletion request to info@4dsensing.ca from the email address associated with your 4Dsense account, use the account-deletion request function provided on this webpage, or contact us at +1 (226) 336-5563 for assistance with the deletion process.
Your request should identify the 4Dsense account you want deleted.
Do not send your password, access token, Wi-Fi password, device token, private key, or other security credential with your request.
3.IDENTITY VERIFICATION
To protect users against unauthorized deletion, 4Dsensing may take reasonable steps to verify the identity and authority of the person requesting deletion.
Verification will be proportionate to the sensitivity of the account and information involved.
4.WHAT ACCOUNT DELETION DOES
When an account deletion request is completed, 4Dsensing will delete the user account and delete or de-identify personal information associated with that account as required by applicable law and platform requirements.
Account deletion may remove or terminate access to associated device relationships, cloud access, historical information, notification information, account preferences, and other account-dependent functionality.
Deletion of an account does not necessarily delete data that belongs to another authorized account, organization, device owner, or independent legal record where that information is not personal information belonging exclusively to the requesting user.
5.INFORMATION THAT MAY BE RETAINED
Certain limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary and permitted by law for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, regulatory obligations, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements, protection of legal rights, or maintenance of required records.
Where information must be retained after account deletion, it will be limited to the applicable purpose and will not be used for unrelated purposes.
6.DEVICE DATA
Deleting a user account does not physically erase information stored within a connected device itself unless the applicable device supports and completes such a function.
A physical device may need to be reset, transferred, reassociated, or otherwise managed separately.
Where a device is owned or controlled by another user, customer, or organization, deletion of one user account does not necessarily require deletion of the device’s legitimate operational records.
7.TIME TO COMPLETE A REQUEST
4Dsensing will process verified deletion requests within the period required by applicable law and applicable platform requirements.
Where additional time is legally permitted and reasonably necessary, the user will be informed where required.
8.CANCELLATION AND IRREVERSIBILITY
Account deletion may be permanent.
Once deletion has been completed, deleted account information, historical data, device relationships, and other associated information may not be recoverable.
Users should export or preserve any information they are legally entitled to retain before requesting deletion where such functionality is available.
9.SUBSCRIPTIONS OR OTHER OBLIGATIONS
Deleting a 4Dsense account does not automatically cancel an independent third-party subscription, payment obligation, contractual obligation, purchase, or service agreement unless expressly stated.
If a separate subscription or agreement must be cancelled independently, the applicable cancellation process must also be completed.
