1.ABOUT THIS PRIVACY POLICY
4Dsense is developed and operated by 4Dsensing INC. (“4Dsensing,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Canadian company based in Ontario, Canada that may also operate under the registered trade name 4Dindustrial.
This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the 4Dsense mobile application for iOS and Android, associated 4Dsense cloud services, user accounts, and connected 4Dsense devices (collectively, the “4Dsense Services”).
This Policy explains what information may be processed through the 4Dsense Services, why it is processed, how it may be shared, how it is protected, and the choices available to users.
The separate 4Dsensing Website Privacy Policy applies to 4dsensing.ca and general corporate website activities.
2.INFORMATION WE MAY PROCESS
Depending on the features you use, 4Dsense may process account and identity information such as your name, email address, username, account identifiers, authentication information, and account status.
We may process connected-device information such as device identifiers, serial numbers, MAC addresses or other hardware identifiers, product type, firmware version, device name, configuration information, device/account associations, connection status, and timestamps.
We may process monitoring and telemetry information generated by supported 4Dsense devices, including measurements, equipment status, pump status, power or battery information, environmental measurements, cycle information, warning and error conditions, connectivity information, current and historical telemetry, graph information, notification records, and related timestamps.
We may process technical information reasonably necessary to operate and secure the service, such as application version, operating-system information, device/platform type, IP address, request status, error information, security events, and diagnostic metadata.
3.ACCOUNT AUTHENTICATION
4Dsense uses authenticated user accounts to control access to connected devices and services.
Authentication and session information is processed as necessary to sign users in, maintain sessions, protect accounts, authorize access to devices, and prevent unauthorized access.
Authentication credentials and security tokens are treated as sensitive operational information and are not intended to be exposed in application logs or user-facing diagnostics.
4.CONNECTED-DEVICE AND TELEMETRY INFORMATION
4Dsense is a connected monitoring platform.
Device telemetry may be transmitted to 4Dsensing-operated cloud services so that authorized users can view current information, historical information, alerts, device status, and other supported functionality.
Telemetry associated with a registered device may indirectly be associated with the account authorized to access that device.
4Dsense does not treat the mobile application as the permanent authoritative storage location for device telemetry. Cloud and device systems provide the underlying service data according to the applicable system architecture and retention rules.
5.WI-FI PROVISIONING
During device setup, the 4Dsense application may temporarily process a Wi-Fi network name and Wi-Fi password supplied by the user so that the selected physical device can connect to the intended network.
The Wi-Fi password is intended to be transmitted to the local physical device during provisioning and is not intended to be uploaded to the 4Dsensing cloud as ordinary account information or included in application diagnostic logs.
Users should not provide Wi-Fi passwords through support emails, screenshots, diagnostic submissions, or other unnecessary channels.
6.MOBILE PERMISSIONS
The application may request operating-system permissions reasonably necessary for supported functions.
On iOS, this may include permissions or capabilities related to local network access, Wi-Fi provisioning, and notifications.
On Android, depending on the operating-system version, nearby Wi-Fi or location-related permission may be required by Android for Wi-Fi discovery or connection functionality.
A permission required by the operating system for Wi-Fi functionality does not mean that 4Dsense continuously tracks the user’s physical location.
4Dsense is not designed to continuously track users’ precise physical location or access their contacts for ordinary application functionality.
7.PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
4Dsense may use push notifications to communicate device conditions, warnings, errors, service information, or other supported notifications.
iOS uses Apple Push Notification service (“APNs”). Android uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (“FCM”) or another applicable Google notification service.
Push registration tokens are technical identifiers used to route notifications to an application installation. They are treated as sensitive operational data.
Push notifications depend on third-party platform infrastructure, Internet connectivity, device settings, notification permissions, operating-system behaviour, and other systems outside 4Dsensing’s exclusive control.
Delivery of a push notification is therefore not guaranteed.
8.HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We may use information processed through 4Dsense to authenticate users, authorize access to devices, register and manage devices, provide current and historical monitoring information, display device status and telemetry, provide graphs and notifications, transmit supported commands, manage configuration, provide technical support, maintain service reliability, troubleshoot errors, detect unauthorized access or security events, improve compatibility and performance, comply with legal obligations, enforce applicable agreements, and protect users, 4Dsensing, and the integrity of the service.
We do not use 4Dsense account or device telemetry as a product for sale to third-party advertisers.
4Dsense is not designed as a behavioural advertising platform.
9.SERVICE PROVIDERS
4Dsensing may use trusted service providers reasonably necessary to operate the 4Dsense Services, including cloud infrastructure, authentication, networking, push-notification, security, technical-support, and related providers.
We seek to provide service providers only the information reasonably necessary to perform their functions and require appropriate protections where applicable.
Apple and Google independently process certain platform information through their respective operating systems, application stores, and push-notification infrastructure under their own terms and privacy practices.
10.CROSS-BORDER PROCESSING
4Dsensing is based in Ontario, Canada.
Some service providers or platform providers may process information in another Canadian province, the United States, or another jurisdiction.
Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to that jurisdiction’s laws and lawful governmental access requirements.
Where applicable law requires additional assessment or safeguards for a transfer, 4Dsensing will apply those requirements.
11.RETENTION
Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
Account information may be retained while an account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward where required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or other legitimate purposes.
Device telemetry, notification records, operational records, and technical logs may be retained according to applicable service, security, diagnostic, and legal requirements.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, 4Dsensing will delete, destroy, securely dispose of, or anonymize it as appropriate and as permitted by law.
12.ACCOUNT AND DATA DELETION
Users may request deletion of their 4Dsense account and associated personal information.
Account deletion may be initiated through the account-deletion option provided within the application and through the 4Dsense Account and Data Deletion webpage.
When an account deletion request is completed, 4Dsensing will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account as required by applicable law and platform requirements.
Certain information may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements, or another legitimate requirement permitted by law.
Information that must be retained will not be used for unrelated purposes.
Deleting an account may permanently terminate access to associated cloud functionality, device associations, historical information, notifications, and other account-dependent features.
13.SECURITY
4Dsensing uses reasonable administrative, organizational, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of information under our control.
No Internet-connected service, wireless network, mobile device, server, or electronic-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials, mobile devices, local networks, and physical devices.
14.IMPORTANT MONITORING AND SAFETY NOTICE
4Dsense devices, applications, cloud services, notifications, telemetry, graphs, readings, warnings, calculations, and other outputs are monitoring and reference tools intended to assist users.
They are not designed or represented as life-safety systems, emergency-response systems, medical devices, fire alarms, security systems, guaranteed flood-prevention systems, or substitutes for legally required safety equipment unless a specific product is expressly certified and identified by 4Dsensing in writing for such a purpose.
Readings and information provided through 4Dsense are for reference and monitoring purposes and must not be used as the sole or final basis for a life-safety, emergency, medical, property-protection, environmental, regulatory, maintenance, or other safety-critical decision.
Users must exercise reasonable judgment, independently verify important conditions when appropriate, maintain suitable backup safeguards, and use all 4Dsense products and services in accordance with applicable installation requirements, manufacturer instructions, municipal requirements, provincial or territorial law, federal law, building codes, electrical codes, plumbing codes, safety rules, and other applicable requirements.
4Dsense products and services must never be used intentionally to harm, threaten, endanger, injure, or facilitate harm to any person, animal, property, or environment.
15.CLOUD AND SERVICE AVAILABILITY
4Dsense relies in part on Internet-connected and cloud-based infrastructure.
Cloud access, remote monitoring, telemetry delivery, notification delivery, account access, or other features may occasionally be unavailable, interrupted, delayed, incomplete, or suspended because of maintenance, power loss, Internet failure, wireless-network conditions, third-party service interruption, device failure, software or firmware issues, security events, operating-system restrictions, or circumstances outside 4Dsensing’s reasonable control.
4Dsensing does not represent that the service will be continuously available or that every reading, event, or notification will always be received immediately.
Users should maintain appropriate independent safeguards for circumstances in which the service is unavailable.
16.CHILDREN
4Dsense is intended for adults and authorized users responsible for monitoring compatible equipment.
The service is not directed to children.
We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children where parental or guardian consent would be legally required.
17.PRIVACY RIGHTS
Subject to applicable law, users may request access to personal information under our control, correction of inaccurate information, withdrawal of consent where applicable, deletion of qualifying personal information, and information regarding applicable privacy practices.
We may take reasonable steps to verify identity before completing a privacy request.
Additional rights may apply under provincial or other privacy legislation where applicable.
18.CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the application, devices, cloud services, service providers, legal requirements, or information practices.
The Last Updated date identifies the current version.
Where required by law, additional notice or consent will be provided before materially changing the purposes for which personal information is collected, used, or disclosed.

20.NON-WAIVABLE RIGHTS
Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits a privacy or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded, waived, or restricted.
Where this Policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the mandatory legal requirement applies.
